1. Why is Prime Stoves more efficient than three-stone stoves or traditional stoves?

There are three biomass combustion processes: Pyrolysis, combustion and char gasification. In a three-stone or traditional stoves, these processes occur at the same time in the same place. Prime stoves are TLUD (Top-Lit Updraft) gasification stoves that convert solid biomass into combustible gases (wood-gas or syngas) and these gases are burned again at separate times and places. The Prime Stove combines three mechanisms: Pre-heating, partial burning / co-firing and counter-flow burning mechanism. With these three mechanisms, Prime Stove is able to control biomass combustion processes at separate times and places resulting in clean burning. This is what distinguishes it from the three stone stove, traditional stove or rocket type furnace in general.

2. How many model and colors of Prime Stoves are there?

There are 2 models, Prime Fuelwood Stove and Prime Granular Stove / Pellet. The color of the stoves that are marketed in Indonesia is only black, but there are other colors, including orange, green, pink, white and blue if the order per color is at least 500 units.

3. What is the difference between Prime Wood Stove and Prime Granular Stove / Pellet?

The only difference is in the fuel because they use different burning tube. Prime Wood Stove use solid biomass fuels such as wood, twigs, woodchips, broken coconut shells, corncobs, bamboo, palm fruit and other solid biomass. Prime Granular Stoves / Pellets use small-scale biomass fuels such as pellets, palm shells, candlenut shells, rubber seed shells, castor beans and other grain-shaped biomass fuels.

4. Is Prime Stove more economical than LPG?

Prime Stove was created as a solution to replace a three-stone or traditional stove rather than to replace LPG. LPG is still cleaner and easier to use but Prime Stove can save LPG usage because the fuel can use wood, twigs, coconut shells, and other biomass including biomass waste that is around.

5. Can the stove fire be raised and reduced?

Prime stoves can be reduced by partially closing the primary air regulator and the flame can be increased again by opening the primary air regulator width.

6. Does the stove produce smoke?

Smoke will appear at the beginning of the ignition about 2 minutes but will decrease and disappear when the gasification process has taken place.

7. How long can the fire last?

For Prime Wood Stoves, if the fuel is fully filles, it takes 1.3 kg and will produce 77 minutes of fire.
For Prime Granular / Pellet Stoves, if the fuel is fully filled, it takes 1.5 kg and will produce a fire for 91 minutes.

8. Does cooking on a Prime Stoves not make a cookware black?

Cooking with Prime Stove still produces black soot which could make the cookware a little black but is greatly reduced when compared to a three-stone or traditional stove. To reduce soot, try not to use fire too big and not lit to the side of the cookware. When the fire is well lit, the fire must be reduced by closing part of the primary air regulator (the one below). Fire can be raised again by fully opening the primary air regulator.

9. Is the flame blue?

Biomass fuels such as firewood in general will produce a reddish yellow not blue flame.

10. What is the difference between Prime Stoves and UB stoves or those sold online?

UB Stoves and some Prime Stoves  sold online are old type stoves (produced in 2015) from Prime Stoves with different quality than current Prime Stoves. UB Stove or Prime Stove produced in 2015 are still using rubber shoes, sharps sides of the table, and thinner material. The latest model of Prime Stove produced from March 2016 has these characteristics: the feet do not use rubber shoes but have been turned inward so that they are stable, the sides of the table top have nothing sharp so they are not dangerous, the material is stronger, the paint uses powder coating and embossed logo.

11. Are there any spare parts / replacement parts if there is damage?

Spare parts are available and sold separately.

12. Is there guarantee and how to submit a warranty?

1 year guarantee from the date of purchase for production damage and not accidental damage. Submit a warranty by sending a product photo and serial number of the stove under the stove. Stove guarantees can be in the form of: repair by sales staff, replacement of damaged parts only, replacement of one unit of the stove or the cost of the stove. The determination of the stove warranty depends on a case by case basis. To date, submission of warranty replacement stoves is less than 0.5% of the total sold because of the quality and durability of the Prime Stove that has been tested for a minimum of 2 years.
